James Reynolds

Wood Shop Teacher, Grades K-8

James Reynolds has taught and mentored children, teens and young adults in academic and artistic fields for more than 15 years. After graduating from Hamilton College with a BA in Philosophy and a minor in Hispanic Studies, he co-founded a community center in Managua, Nicaragua focused on literacy, leadership and the arts for children and youth. While in Nicaragua, he also established a Contact Improvisation dance community and led digital storytelling workshops (certified as a facilitator by StoryCenter in Berkeley), and solidified his fluency in Spanish.

James has played all roles in various childcare centers, after-school programs and summer camps, from counselor to arts specialist to program director. He teaches woodworking with hand tools through his family business, Good Fun Stuff where he shares dance, Spanish, woodworking, games and crafts at custom birthday parties, kids corners at adult gatherings, classes and more.
